Course Description

Our Xpress Tajweed course focuses on mastering the application of the most common Tajweed rules (those typically highlighted in a colour-coded Quran), with a primary focus on nasal and non-nasal stretches. While Tajweed theory teaches you to understand and explain rules effectively outside of the Quran, our practical Tajweed application framework trains you to build an internal colour-coded system in real time as you read directly from the Quran. This ensures you immediately spot every indicator of a Tajweed rule as it appears and never miss a stretch.

​The course also equips you with practical techniques that pre-emptively target the most common pitfalls students face, eliminating mistakes before they even occur. While we will still teach you essential Tajweed theory, focusing on practical application will make you consistent in identifying all the rules whenever they appear and fully independent of a colour-coded Quran.

Entry Requirements

  • Consistently read the letters and signs on the page correctly with minimal or no mistakes.

  • Consistently stretch long vowels for two counts and keep short vowels to one count.

  • Recite relatively fluency without it requiring full focus (some hesitation or pausing may be expected).

  • Pronounce most letters correctly.
