This course teaches the advanced rules of tajweed, delving deeper into the topics covered in Xpress Tajweed and studying the nuances of and exceptions to these rules. Students will become experts in the deeper theory of tajweed and the less common instances of rules.

Entry Requirements

  • Consistently read the letters and signs on the page correctly with minimal or no mistakes.

  • Consistently stretch long vowels for two counts and keep short vowels to one count.

  • Recite relatively fluency without it requiring full focus (some hesitation or pausing may be expected).

  • Pronounce most letters correctly.

  • Consistently apply all rules of nasal stretches and madd (including rules of noon sukoon and tanween).
